Borge Park Complex
Borge Park is located on the north side of Wolf Point. It was named after a prominent doctor, Dr. H.J. Borge, who maintained a medical practice in the area for approximately 35 years. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in July, 1982 with Mayor Keith Bryan present.
For many years, Bill Henry and his wife, Pat were active supporters of the boys Little League Baseball and the girls softball programs in Wolf Point. It is only fitting that the baseball fields are named after Mr. Henry and the softball fields named after his wife. Credit should also be given to Dave Madsen, who was the Recreation Director for 22 years. His standard of excellence also helped to develop many fine young men and women who were fortunate to be a part of the summer recreation program.
The complex provides several outdoor recreational facilities, including a tennis court, baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, and a swimming pool. A new water feature and slide were added to the park in 2006 during a major rehabilitation of the 30 year old structure. This park also received federal funding from the Land & Water Conservation Fund through the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. This program helped to create recreational areas within the State of Montana for now and for future generations.
