Benton Street Park
This park is located on the south side of Wolf Point, behind the Roosevelt Co. Library just off of Benton Street. Hence the reason for the many names this park has been called. The activities at this park include playground equipment, basketball courts, and a picnic tables and benches. Many years back, it also contained a tennis court. But due to economic reasons, the court was closed and the property was ultimately sold to Ratherts.
This park also received federal grants from the Land & Water Conservation Fund through the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. This program helped to create recreational areas within the State of Montana for now and for future generations. Because of the restrictions associated with the program, a request for conversion was made and granted. Property of equal value replaced the area where the tennis courts were located. The area designated for this purpose was Triangle Park, located off of U.S. Highway 2.
