Public Works Director

The Public Works Director has general administrative and supervisory powers over all the streets and alleys, airport facilities, waterworks, sewage collection and disposal facilities, garbage collection and disposal, street lighting, building inspection and permits, and the various public works departments of the city.

In addition, the Public Works Director will prepare a preliminary budget and administer for all departments under his jurisdiction; coordinates and directs activities of departments under his jurisdiction, including the temporary shifting of employees of one department to another as the needs of the various departments dictate.

He attends all meetings of the Wolf Point City Council and keeps the Council advised of the financial condition and future needs and recommendations for the various departments.

The Public Works Director also functions as the Zoning Administrator and all building permit applications will be submitted to the Public Works Director to determine zoning compliance. The applications will then be forwarded to the city’s building inspector for approval to issue the building permit.
